Strategies to Mitigate Climate Change Impact in UAE Through Nationally Determined Contributions NDCs

Abstract

The purpose of the research work is to explore the strategies through which the adverse influence of climate change might be affected using appropriate nationally determined contributions and this is performed in the context of the UAE. For meeting the objective of the work, secondary method for evaluation is adopted as the historical trend of carbon emission and electricity consumption can not be gathered precisely using either survey or interview. It is identified from the visual analytics that in case of implementation of renewable energy development related project and mitigation strategies, the possibility of having 30 % lesser carbon emission in future by the end of 2030 is higher in the comparison to power generation practices without mitigation plan.
