Endometriosis, an inflammatory condition prevalent among women of reproductive age, affects approximately 5-10% of the population. Despite its significant impact, little is known about the environmental and genetic factors contributing to endometriosis among women of Arab ancestry. This study aims to elucidate the genetic markers associated with endometriosis on a global scale. It will also identify the risk factors linked to reproductive health conditions among women of Arab ancestry. We will conduct a candidate gene association study investigating known endometriosis-associated genetic risk loci and copy number variants (CNV) previously identified in European populations, with the aim of replicating these findings in women of Arab ancestry. Additionally, we will perform an exome-wide association study focused on endometriosis in women of Arab ancestry, aiming to identify novel markers specific to this population. We aim to help women of Arab ancestry in the Middle East (MENA) with early diagnosis and find specified therapeutic measures.
