In this thesis we report the successful synthesis of Ni/FeAl2O4 using Sol-gel method, the catalyst was characterized using X-ray diffraction (XRD), Temperature programmed reduction (TPR), N2 sorption and Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). The catalyst illustrated extraordinary initial activity at 800 ˚C of around 97 % CH4 conversion and a stabilized conversion rate of around 95.7 % for 250 min. the enhanced stability of the Ni/FeAl2O4 was due to the addition of Ni to the support. FeAl2O4 demonstrated similar initial activity with much less stability.
