Twenty years ago, Micro-Electro Mechanical (MEMS) devices' compact size, low power, low cost and good performance were attractive systems compared to the bulky and costly systems. Space sector started utilizing them in their applications in the recent years for navigational, optical and mission purposes. Through this thesis, an innovative, affordable and low power navigational MEMS magnetometer sensor for the attitude and control systems for space and commercial applications, is to be designed, simulated, fabricated and validated in Khalifa University in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The MEMS magnetometer will be designed for high resolution, quality (Q) and scale factors.
