Abstract

The palm trees succeeded in the date palms in terms of economic value and cultural significance in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and also the whole world. Manual pollination of palm trees is labor-sensitive, time demanding, and inconsistency is common which does not help in the addressing rising agricultural needs. The latest improvements in application of drone technologies make it possible to carry out and avail automatic and accurate pollination of crops, enhancing efficiency while cutting down labor cost and increasing both yield and quality of produce. This study intends to focus on designing and building a specialized drone system for the purpose of palm tree pollination while tackling issues like effective pollen dispersal, flying in tall trees and ensuring environmental friendliness. The proposed drone based solution has the possibility of improving the current means of pollination where a high volume of vegetation needs to be done augmenting the palm cultivation.
