Abstract
With the worldwide adoption of electric vehicles (EVs), wireless power transfer (WPT)-based vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) charging systems are gaining huge interest. This work presents the implementation of the WPT system designed for V2V charging. In particular, its required simulations are conducted using MATLAB/Simulink. Furthermore, details of the theoretical framework, circuit design, and obtained simulation results are thoroughly discussed. The developed system's efficiency is confirmed in a practical 6 kW scenario that supports EVs with diverse battery voltages. This essentially highlights its ability to effectively enable WPT-V2V charging across EVs with varying voltage standards. Finally, the simulation results demonstrate that the developed WPT system can be applied to charge two EVs in both directions.
