Abstract

This paper describes the development of ESAS (Enterprise Strategic Advisory System): a prototype case-based intelligent system designed to provide organisations with advice on market-led quality and strategic change. ESAS attempts to facilitate this process of change, by presenting the user with case-based strategies collected from a wide range of organisations. The goal of the system is to encourage proactivity and creativity during problem solving and decision making. The ideas and concepts behind the system are also presented, together with results from ESAS's user-centred evaluation.
