Abstract

Fiber-metal laminates (FMLs) continue to attract great interest from the aerospace sector because they combine the outstanding properties of their constituent materials. FMLs based on titanium alloys appear to be the most attractive because they extend the advantages of the existing GLARE laminates to higher temperatures.
