The influence of dephasing in the coupling of light with intersubband transitions

Abstract

This paper studies the dispersions of the quasiparticle resulting from the coupling of light with intersubband transitions. As in the interband case, increased losses/dephasing reduce the oscillator strength of the material excitation until a critical value is reached after which only a photon branch characterized by a renormalized group velocity remains.
