Abstract

Rectal methohexitone is an effective technique for the induction of anaesthesia in young children. However, the cardiovascular changes associated with this technique have not been fully investigated. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the cardiovascular effects of rectal methohexitone in children using two-dimensional (2-D) and pulsed Doppler echocardiography.
