Abstract

Upon electron irradiation, C60 intercalated graphite was converted to diamond at only 200 kV accelerated electron beam irradiation, without the application of high pressure and temperature in a hydrogen free environment. This process took only few minutes. Conjugation of all-three carbon allotropes was observed during the decomposition of C60 intercalated graphite in diamond films.
