Surgical correction of a rectovaginal fistula

Abstract

A modification of a transplantation procedure to repair congenital vaginal-anus is described. This procedure may serve as an alternative to a primary closure when the rectum lies above the external sphincter muscle and little tissue is available to build a perineal body.
