Abstract

The work reported in this paper examines the effect of brace overlap on stress distributions in overlapped K joints. The study was based on comprehensively strain-gauged acrylic models. The results are used to assess the validity of using existing parametric equations for non-overlapped joints and also to compare Efthymiou's parametric equations with acrylic model results.
