Abstract

This paper presents a novel self adjusting nonlinear dynamic error driven controller for a combmed static series capacitor compensator (SSCC) and a shunt smart power filter for enhancing both voltage, stability and power quality. The r p o s e d self-adjusting Tri-Loop error scaled controller is ased on the load voltage, RMS Load current and the instantaneous current deviation signals. The proposed study system is a generator, a fnquency dependent transmission line model, an nonlinear load compnsing (Induction Motors) and Arc Furnace loads. The digital simulation is carried out in time domain as well as in frequency domain by using the Special Simulation Software PSCALVEMTDC.
