Abstract
Local and average pressure drop and solids hold-up are measured in a circulating fluidised bed over a wide range in gas velocity, solids flow rate and particle characteristics. The data obtained in the present study are critically analysed and predictive correlations are presented for variation of pressure drop along the riser and for inflection point. The present data as well as those reported in literature are satisfactorily compared with the proposed equations.
