Abstract

The comprehensive voltage regulation and power mismatch sharing strategy is presented in this paper. The centralized voltage regulation scheme allows achieving the average voltage regulation during system disturbances. Simultaneously, the accurate power sharing based on the predetermined ratios is achieved between droop controlled converters by means of decentralized controller. The presented approach relies on the communication infrastructure for reaching the mentioned goals. The Cigre B4 test system, which has been developed in the Matlab/Simulink environment using the SimPowerSystem toolbox, is used to carry out time domain simulations. The results of the simulations demonstrate simultaneous achievement of the mentioned control objectives even in the presence of the large communication delays.
