Simplified reactance one-port compensator for ASD harmonic mitigation

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingConference contributionpeer-review

Abstract

A simplified three-phase PWM adjustable speed drive (ASD) is modeled and validated for the study of power system harmonic. A reactance one-port compensator is designed and tested to mitigate the harmonics injected by the ASD and keep the THD within the recommended standards. Sensitivity studies; including parameters deviation and speed variation have been conducted to determine the safe operating margins of the designed compensator.
