Abstract

Traditionally, the complete uterine septum that divides the separate uterus into two similar cavities has been unified by abdominal metroplasty. Care was taken not to incise the septum beyond the internal cervical os so as to minimize the risks of creating a single incompetent cervix from two single cervices. This report outlines a transcervical metroplasty that unites the two uterine cavities above the internal os by cutting the uterine septum.
