Prioritising upgrades in the Navy

Research output: Contribution to specialist publicationArticle

    Abstract

The Navy amphibious and Afloat Support Group has developed a new decision support process for its maintenance and upgrade programs. The program supports a range of vessels including amphibious landing ships HMAS Manoora and HMAS Kanimbla. The concept behind the new prioritisation process is a capability model. The model enables each proposed change to be ranked in terms of its capability enhancement after factoring in necessity, feasibility, performance risks and cost.
