Abstract

This paper presents a new application for bandedge filters to blinfly estimate carrier offsets that are larger than the subcarrier spacing in orthogonal frequency division multiplexing systems. The proposed scheme is shown to have a high accuracy and wide frequecy acquisition range. The system performance is assessed over AWGN channel using different pulse shaping filters and compared with theoretical bound.
