title = "Nomenclature for modeling assisted services provisioning in airports",
abstract = "Current models describing the service provisioning and optimization of airport wheelchair provisioning overly simplify the reality of a passenger traversing an airport. In reality, numerous handoffs take place of both equipment and personnel to get a passenger around an airport. The methodology developed in this paper reflects a more realistic view of the wheelchair provisioning problem based upon data collected while traversing through several airports. A notation scheme for a Wheelchair Service Provisioning (WSP) model has been developed to provide a consistent means of describing different operational scenarios that occur across various airport configurations. These notations can serve as the representational bridge between service scenarios and the corresponding modeling terminology intersecting the fields of operation research and supply chain management.",
