Abstract
Surface emission, ultraviolet wavelength, and room temperature operations of nanowires and nanoclusters were discussed. Crystalline zinc oxide (ZnO) nanowires were used. Results showed that the nanowires emit ultraviolet radiation at 385 nm with a linewidth of less than 0.3 nm.
