    Abstract

In this study, a performance analysis of golf cart charge station that utilizes the solar photovoltaic as power source to charge the carts involved in the University of Sharjah, (UOS) campus is conducted. Charging station designing consists of various stages. The initial step was to calculate the power needed to charge the load. The sizing of the PV array for the charging station requirements using Sharjah solar resources is determined. Finally, the design had been simulated using the MATLAB-Simulink software to check for the proposed system's feasibility to meet project objectives. A general view of the research is shown followed by experimental, sizing procedure, examination of the size and dynamic simulation. The results obtained showed that the output voltage from the solar system can reach up to 150 volts. Regarding the output from the voltage DC regulators it was stable and constant at 50 volts which is suitable to charge the load battery.
