Many-body theory for multiple intersubband absorption in heterostructures

Abstract

A many-body theory for multiple intersubband absorption in heterostructure was discussed. The many-body theory was found to be used for computation of optical absorption due to intersubband transition in structures that operates as quantum cascade lasers under bias. The analysis suggested the use of many-body theory for study and prediction of transport and optical properties of QCL structures.
