N2 - The problems inherent in identity management are discussed. Identity management encompasses definitions and life-cycle management for digital identities and profiles, as well as environments for exchanging and validating such information. A digital-identity solution should support at least three requirements: reliability and dependability, controlled information disclosure, and mobility support. Digital management of multiple robust identities is an important issue in developing the next generation of distributed applications.
