Abstract

We describe a Bézier curve-based wavelength-independent coupler using a Mach-Zehnder Interferometer (MZI). 3D FDTD simulations demonstrate constant, broadband splitting ratios with very low insertion loss (< 0.05 dB) and compact footprint (138 µm2).
