Abstract
With looming water scarcity, sustainable water sourcing and management has generated a significant amount of interest over the recent years. In this study, an integrated framework for water sourcing and management for the oil and gas industry is presented, as it is going to be critical to meet future growth in water demand from a technical and commercial perspective. In addition, the results are augmented with extensive literature survey of current methodologies and innovative management solutions that will greatly assist in the water sourcing and challenges for a given region. The framework presented in this study provides a unique perspective of oil and gas field life cycle analysis, to allow real time decision making and maintain uninterrupted water delivery at reduced cost. The framework allows to build a platform cross sectors for integrated technology development across industrial, private and public sectors.
