abstract = "We address the problem of channel fading in communication systems. In particular, we focus on the flat fading phenomenon. We propose a novel time-frequency-based technique to retrieve the instantaneous frequency of a signal transmitted over a flat fading channel, and show that it is very accurate and powerful. An example is used to validate the proposed method.",
