    Abstract

    The advent of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (Industry 4.0) modernized several important fields. The healthcare sector happens to be one of them. Industry 4.0 promotes digitalization and automation through modern technologies, hence ensuring process improvement. In the healthcare sector, it is mandatory to maintain services, procedures, and treatments at the highest quality to satisfy the customers. Consequently, Industry 4.0 technologies are used as they can provide a wide broad of services and processes with the highest quality and efficiency. With that being said, and with the deployment of Industry 4.0 tools in the healthcare environment, the concept of Healthcare 4.0 was coined. The usage of advanced tools, technologies, and methods pushed the healthcare sector into the 4.0 paradigm. This chapter will discuss the applications of multiple Industry 4.0 technologies like the Internet of Things, Big Data, and Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare 4.0. This chapter would provide several solutions to some major recent challenges related to the healthcare sector. In addition, it will also highlight how these technologies are used and implemented there. The findings would aid practitioners and managers of the organization in understanding how Industry 4.0 technologies help to overcome healthcare challenges.
