Abstract

A study was conducted on the femtosecond laser-induced electronic excitation in glass. The evolution of laser-induced electronic plasma was measured inside the glass using femtosecond timeresolved imaging technique. The electron number density of order 1019 cm-3 was calculated. The filamentation phenomena and high density electron excitation were also observed.
