N2 - Drawings more than 15,000 years old have shown that people wore some kind of footwear even in very ancient times (Kurup et al., 2012). The first custom shoes, on the other hand, can be traced back about 5500 years (Pinhasi et al., 2010). In those days, footwear were used to protect people’s feet from external hazards (DeMello, 2009). Today, they have become an integral part of a person’s appearance more than function.
