Abstract

Effects of flame/stretch interactions on outwardly propagating laminar and turbulent premixed flames for thin flamelet conditions were studied. First, measurements and numerical simulations of laminar premixed flames of H2/O2/N2 and light hydrocarbon/air mixtures for various fuel-equivalence ratios and pressures of 0.5-4.0 atom at normal temperatures (298±3 K) were performed. Second, the flame/stretch interaction properties measured in the laminar flames were examined. The resultant data were analyzed in detail.
