Abstract

In this contribution, by means of numerical investigation, two types of vertical drainage systems, for instance drainage strip, sand wall and their combination with applying under pressure will be examined. The influence of under pressure to the process of consolidation will be investigated. The findings of this contribution will provide the necessary information for improvement of existing designs of vertical drains and the development of design specifications.
