Abstract

In this paper, a current extraction method for reactive shielding coils considering the efficiency reduction in a wireless charging system for low-power mobile applications was proposed. With the proposed current extraction method, it is possible to extract the current set with the smallest power loss among the current sets of several shielding coils having a constant magnetic field reduction effect. Current extraction was performed using a magnetic field calculation and a power loss function due to current, which was verified using 3D FEM simulation and circuit simulation. When using the proposed method, when the PTE of 0.5% was reduced, the leakage magnetic field reduction effect was up to 27%.
