Abstract

The authors regret that the printed version of the above article contained an error. In Section 4, “SARS-CoV-2 taxonomy and their unique structural characteristics”, we have mentioned that the structure of SARS-CoV- 2 consists of five main parts. However, the fifth protein is not present in all coronaviruses. Thus, the following sentence in this section should be changed to: “The structure of SARS-CoV- 2 consists of four main parts i) Spike protein, ii) Membrane protein, iii) Envelope protein, and iv) Nucleocapsid protein. A fifth protein, Hemagglutinin-esterase dimer, is present in some betacoronaviruses”. The authors would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused. Acknowledgement: We thank Dr. Milad Zandi (Department of Virology, School of Public Health, Tehran University of Medical Sciences) and Dr. Saber Soltani (Research Center for Clinical Virology, Tehran University of Medical Sciences) for identifying this error.
