Abstract

A predetermination comparison, of an axisymmetric turbulent flow with a variable density using a first order (k - ε) schematic closures, has been realised on a low velocity jets. Simulation results are in a good accord with the experimental results found in other research in the past. It has been shown, in particular, the interest of treating separately the mass modelling of a turbulent flux in the modelling process. Finally, gradient type model of a mass turbulent flux shows an analogous effect to that deduced from the perfect gas law.
