Abstract

This study investigates the properties and morphology of lab-synthesized two-dimensional molybdenum disulfide (2D-MoS2) flakes for solar applications. We exfoliated Mos2 flakes and drop-casted and spin-coated them on fused silica and silicon substrates. The measured optical properties of the samples showed >10% absorption between 250 to 748 nm wavelengths. An indirect bandgap of 1.21 eV was acquired using Tauc method, while a sheet resistance value of 2.91 × 102 Ω / sq was obtained from hall measurements.
