Cerebrovascular accidents in full-term neonates: A practical review

Abstract

The suspicion of a cerebrovascular acciddent is confirmed by computed tomography or magnetic resonance imaging but is only excluded by the combination of conventional MRI and MRI with diffusion-weighted imaging. Coagulation studies should be done in all cases unless a clear source is known.
