Abstract
Spectrum is the fundamental resource of wireless communication systems. Each new generation has higher demands for performance and efficiency, while spectrum resources are becoming expensive and limited. Dynamic spectrum management has been proposed to improve spectrum efficiency, where machine learning plays a key role in making spectrum allocation flexible and autonomous. In this chapter, we provide a holistic view of the development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in dynamic spectrum management and analyze its gap toward a fully AI native autonomous network.
