Abstract
New and efficient schemes for the conversion of analogue signals directly into binary residue format are presented, based on the well known analogue-to-binary conversion techniques of flash conversion and successive approximation. They are shown to perform as fast as the corresponding analogue-to-binary convertors. Also, a partitioning scheme is developed for binary-to-residue conversion for medium and large moduli.
