An Analytical Approach for Frequency Estimation of Modern Power Grid

This letter proposes an analytical method to estimate the frequency of buses of transmission grid based on updated generator speed, internal generator voltages, admittance matrix and bus voltages. The proposed method estimates the buses frequency which are much more reliable, accurate and efficient for transient stability studies in contrast to other existing methods. To demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed approach, the method is applied on IEEE 39 bus test system for frequency support and is compared to other existing methods.
