Abstract
The electric vehicle requires bidirectional DC-DC converter. A high conversion ratio is preferred to interface a low input battery voltage to the high voltage DC and vice-versa. A novel high gain DC to DC bidirectional switched converter is proposed in this paper. The proposed converter uses the interleaved technique to the input side so that the input current stress is reduced also the input current ripple is reduced. The proposed bidirectional converter gives wide voltage conversion and has a common ground so, this converter is suitable for electric vehicle/hybrid electric vehicle application. The steady-state operation, analysis and simulation verification are discussed. Finally, the experimental verification is carried out and experimental results are presented.
