Abstract

In this paper, a multi-agent control scheme has been proposed to provide proper voltage and reactive power control of multiple feeders having a transformer tap-changer LTC, unbalanced load diversity (station with different feeder loads) and distributed generation (DG) units. The proposed control scheme has been defined according to the concept of multi-agents technology and the characteristic of the individual DG and the utility LTCs. The control agents of the LTC and DG units are cooperated via two ways communication acts. The proposed cooperative control scheme aims to avoid any interference between LTC and DG units. Different case studies have been carried out to verify the effectiveness and robustness of the proposed control scheme.
