Description
Viscosity, a measure of the resistance of a fluid to flow, is an important property of hydrocarbon liquids. It is used in petroleum engineering calculations such as two-phase flow, enhanced oil recovery and reservoir simulation. The high pressure capillary viscometer installed in the thermodynamic fluid lab is a very accurate instrument for measuring the viscosity of reservoir fluid above the Pb at a given temperature. It operate up to 1000 bar & 200 C° with a viscosity range from 0,02 cp to 6000 cp. 2 capillary tubes of 3 & 10 cm3 are supplied for different fluid natures. The system is featured with Falcon software that enables automatic procedures for calibration and measurements of viscosity based on selected flow rates
