    Description

The electromagnetic viscometer is based on a simple and reliable electromagnetic concept. Two coils move the piston back and forth via a constant magnetic induction force. Proprietary circuitry analyzes the piston’s two-way travel time to measure absolute viscosity. A built-in temperature detector (RTD) senses the actual temperature in the sampling chamber. Heat is provided by an external heating and recirculating bath. The Viscolab HPHT Electromagnetic Viscometer system is used for the viscosity measurements of fluids such as Oil and Supercritical fluids at high pressures & high temperatures and is based on ASTM D7483 test method. Specification: Pressure: Atmospheric to 20,000 psi Temperature: Ambient to 185°C Viscosity: 0.02 to 10 cP
