Gas Chromatography

Agilent 7890B GC system allows one to analyze both hydrocarbon & non-hydrocarbon components in gas sample with a single injection. The instrument is configured with three valves in a series for gas sampling , two packed columns (Haysep & Molecular sieve), one capillary column, two detectors (TCD & FID) and Chemstation software for data accusations & data analysis. Non hydrocarbon components e.g. N2, O2, CO2, H2S, SO, SO2 get separated into packed column & hydrocarbon components from C1 to C10, are separated into capillary column. He gas (99.9995%) is used as carrier gas. The overall temperature range is 30 -220 C.
