Equipments Details
Description
This apparatus used to measure the resistivity of rock samples containing formation brine is Pantera ambient conditions resistivity system which consists of a resistivity box, a dip cell, capacitance and resistance (LCR) meter and a hand held temperature display unit. The dip cell is used to measure the brine resistivity at the room temperature. The system can be operated with the porous plate capillary pressure apparatus that will be used in the next experiment to measure the resistivity of rocks at different water saturations.
The system is a bench top
pneumatic system that enables the
determination of the electrical resistivity, formation factor
of 1 and 1.5 inch core plug samples
under ambient conditions.
