Description
The AVS-700 is a customized acoustic core flooding system which can measure acoustic response to fluid saturation variation in a core sample under a wide range of pore and confining pressures. It is used to propagate compressional and shear waves through core samples, measure pore pressure, confining pressure and temperature; calculate acoustic velocity and determine dynamic elastic constants such as the dynamic moduli, Young’s, bulk and shear, along with Poisson’s ratio. The system consists of fully equipped pressure vessel, acoustic transducer assemblies, confining pressure controller, pore pressure controller, acoustic Pulser / receiver and digital oscilloscope.
