Description
This course introduces the application of contemporary synthetic organic chemistry in the identification and preparation of medicinally valuable compounds. It focuses on innovative methods for the design, synthesis, characterization, and scale-up of potential drug libraries and molecules. High-throughput methods, computational tools, biomolecules, and green chemistry are emphasized. Pharmaceutical examples are used to illustrate these methods, with analysis of recently published papers.
